Concept Art– 12 Matchbox “Looks”– in the December Cedar Street Gallery Matchbox Show

The video at left shows me opening each of 12 “Looks” — small matchboxes wrapped in $100 bills (not negotiable currency). Each “Look” contains an image of something we love– a person, a sea turtle, a landscape, an ancestor, a baby. We are reminded with a text cue– that we do not own this beloved being/essence/aina. Then we are also reminded that this beloved does love us.
